At Estrella De Mexicali, we proudly make and serve our delicious cakes to order for any occasion, whether social, corporate, or life. Operationally, we are unlike any other bakery and turn to the latest market and consumer trends with fresh ideas that meet traditional and modern designs. Our capacity for creativity and keen eyes for detail, color, and flavor to design a personalized cake to order is of no other. It takes a dedicated team to know how to get it done! All our cakes are made on-site, meaning we do not outsource or freeze cakes. We work with each client personally and rise to the occasion with superior quality ingredients, meaning better nutritional value. Each slice will not only slice better but also have better texture and taste. We only produce in batch quantities for the freshness you deserve.

[We are currently accepting limited amounts of custom cake orders and require a minimum of 3 to 5 weeks advanced order placement. All orders shall be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.]

REVIEW:

I'd like to tell you how quick, kind, beautiful, humble, and professional the owner of this adorable successful bakery is. The owner of this little hidden gem in the heart of Garden Grove is named Blanca. Over the short time span of me coming to this bakery, I had not had the privilege of meeting her until last week. I was waiting in line, holding pan dulce and bolio, while the cashier was busy helping other customers. I didn't mind waiting, I was in no rush at all, but suddenly, a woman from behind the counter approached the second cashier and began ringing up customers. One-by-one, I was next in line within moments. This was a mere glimpse into the type of leader and business owner Blanca is. She leads through an attitude of servitude. Humbly, the owner herself served her clients at checkout. Just as the Christ of God Himself washed the feet of his apostles, coming not as a king to order others around, but rather as an attentive servant with a loving desire to fulfill the needs of others. For the last year or two, I have purchased only Bolio and pan dulce from this bakery exclusively, especially for family events like Eater, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. But I never thought of buying a cake from here until last week. My older sister and I made the mistake of waiting until the last minute to order our other sister's cake for her bachelorette party! But Blanca came to our rescue. Four days before my sister's party, I sent Blanca an email to ask if she would take on an extremely last-minute order. The website for Estrella De Mexicali clearly states that cake orders should be placed 4 to 5 weeks in advance. Still, I took a hopeful risk and sent the email anyway. I attached a photo of what my older sister wanted the cake to look like, and I included answers to the short questionnaire from the ordering website: "How soon is your event? What is your budget? What style of cake are you looking for? How many guests will you be serving? What flavor, filling, and icing are desired? Do you want a cake topper? Do you want handmade fondant decorations?" About 20 minutes after sending the email, Blanca promptly responded, wanting to take on our last-minute order! She clarified and elaborated on a few creative details regarding the cake order: she said vanilla flavor with pastry cream filling, handmade Chantilly flowers, natural orange slices, and chocolate dipped macarons! (Top cake: 8 inches, bottom cake 10 inches.) The cake she created for us turned out even better than the photo we sent her, which was a screenshot of a mainstream Hispanic large chain bakery/grocery store. Thanks be to God the Eternal Father, I made the right choice in giving our order to a small business instead, because by Saturday the cake was ready for the party! The cake tasted sweet, light, soft, and airy. It was as delicious as it looked in the photos. Blanca and her lovely bakery have my appreciation and my gratitude for coming to my family's rescue!
